OSAA State Meet - November 8, 2025

10:00 Boys 2A/1A

Wyatt Jacobson (498) of Knappa

Some of the top returners from last year's 2A/1A race include second place finisher Wyatt Jacobson of Knappa. Other athletes to watch include Beckett Pahls of Bandon, who won his District 4 race by over 45 seconds. Ian Garlitz of Union won his District 3 race also by a wide margin and will be a factor. Knappa narrowly lost to Union last year and looks to reverse the results.


10:35 Girls 3A/2A/1A

Many of the top runners return to the girls 3A/2A/1A race like Isabelle Wiebe of Valley Catholic, Ella Henthorn of Coquille, Sophie Schoolmeester of Banks and Lily Nicols of Heppner. Freshman Molly Schoolmeester of Banks will be the newcomer in the race. Enterprise and Banks may be the top teams on Saturday.


11:10 Boys 3A

Jayden Warner of Warrenton

Diego Zambrano of Santiam Christian and Ronan Gantzos of Oregon Episcopal School are the top returners in the 3A. Jayden Warner of Warrenton did not compete in last year's state meet, but has built an impressive resume with wins at Meriwether Cross Country Classic and Woodbridge Cross Country Classic Rated race. It should be a tough battle between Siuslaw and Neah-Kah-Nie.


11:45 Boys 4A

The top returners in the 4A boys include Corbin Sage of Marist, Leo Pausch of Philomath, Nick Wood of Molalla and Peter Moline of Hidden Valley. Molalla has a strong front pack and look to be the favorites in 4A boys.


12:20 Girls 4A

Brooke Perry of La Grande

La Grande has a nice tradition during during the 2020s of having athletes in the front of the race and this year should be no different. Brooke Perry of La Grande won the 4A race last year and Lindsey Brown of La Grande will be up front too. Annalyse Jenson of Molalla, Hallie Pyfer of Klamath Union and Emma Whitton of Sweet Home are other challengers. Look for Klamath Union to possibly win the 4A team title.


1:45 Boys 5A

Mason Morical of Caldera

Mason Morical of Caldera is the top returner in the boy's 5A and he will have plenty of company in the lead pack. Ty Cirino of Central, Liam Wilde of Wilsonville, Bjorn Blankenship of Summit, Ashenafi McKinnis of Eugene and Garret Fraught of Crater all have chances to win the 5A boys. Crater has won all the 5A state team titles in the 2020s, but can Summit boys break the streak?


2:20 Girls 5A

Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley has won the 5A event for the last four years. Now with Emily running at North Carolina State, a new champion will be crowned. Maddie Carney of Caldera is the top returner and like the boy's 5A race, there are plenty of challengers. Brynn Davenport and Mari Dunlap of Crater went 1-2 at the Midwestern League Championship in Ashland last week. Cricket Phipps of North Eugene won her race at the Woodbridge Cross Country Classic. Sophia Capozzi of Summit finished second to Carney in the Intermountain Conference Championship last week. Crater girls ended Summit's 15 year consecutive state title streak last year. Can Summit start a new streak or can Crater win two in a row?


2:55 Boys 6A

Malachi Schoenherr of Sheldon
Malachi Schoenherr of Sheldon

Malachi Schoenherr of Sheldon looks to repeat at 6A champion and has competition from his league rival Yosuke Shibata of South Eugene. Kellen Williams of Jesuit is another runner who can win the race. On the team side, Jesuit boys are ranked fifth in the nation and look hard to beat. Lincoln and Ida B Wells will try to catch Jesuit.


3:30 Girls 6A

Ellery Lincoln of Lincoln has raced Nelida Dalgas of North Salem twice this season with Lincoln winning on both occasions. Naomi Cesar of Sunset won her Metro League meet in a fast time and Evangeline Hess of South Eugene has impressed as a freshman. The team race will be close with what could be a fun race to watch on the finishing track at Lane Community College between Jesuit, Sherwood and Lincoln.

9:30 Girls 1B/2B

Regan Thomas of St. George's School
Regan Thomas of St. George's School

Regan Thomas of St. George's School won this race last year and last week won her district. Thomas lost to ninth grader Grace Walsh of Manson, who ran in the state meet last year as an eighth grader, in October at the Battle of the 509 by 29 seconds. Saturday should be an interesting re-match. St. George's School, Chewelah, Liberty Bell and John Paul II are the teams to watch.


10:00 Girls 1A

Logan Ignacio of Meridian
Logan Ignacio of Meridian

Logan Ignacio of Meridian was the runner-up last year in the 1A race and last week in Bellingham won the 1A section of her region. Ignacio raced against the Sehome girls and Sloan Dicksen of Lynden at last week's race and Laila Mellema of Lynden Christian was close too. Kaylee Dennler of Medical Lake and Reed Atwood of South Whitby are other challengers. Meridian and Medical Lake are hoping to take the team title.


10:30 Girls 2A

Grace Beachy of Ellensburg & Sloan Dickson of Lyndon
Grace Beachy of Ellensburg & Sloan Dickson of Lyndon

Lil Desler of Sehome is the defending 2A champion and Sloan Dickson of Lyndon and Sloane Clines of Sehome have a chance at the individual title. Grace Beachy of Ellensburg and Lydia Swensen are other excellent athletes in the 2A race. Sehome girls are ranked tenth nationally in the recent DyeStat and are the clear favorites.


11:00 Boys 1B


Wesley Hendrickson of Valley Christian was the runner-up in the race last year and could face a challenge from Kevin Hu of John Paul II. John Paul II look to win the team title.


11:30 Boys 2B


Emmett Warren VIII of Chewelah finished second this last year and won last week in District 6. Waylon Stoneburg-Schafer of Cle-Elum Rosyln was the top ninth grader in 2B last year and won his district race by 49 second. Chewelah and Freeman are the top teams in 2B.


Noon - Boys 1A

Reuben TeVelde of Meridian
Reuben TeVelde of Meridian

Joshua Healey is the top 1A returner and won the Westside Classic by over 50 seconds. The second top returner, Malik Ortiz of Colville cruised to the NEA district championship and third top returner Reuben TeVelde of Meridian is fresh off his District 1 title. Oliver Zimmerman of Cedar Park Christian won the District 2 by thirty seconds last week. Cedar Park Christian won last year and might do it again. The interesting battle for the last trophy spots will be between South Whitby, Meridian, Kings and Medical Lake.


12:30 Boys 2A

Dylan Rowell of Anacortes returns as the defending 2A champion. He finished second in his district meet last week, losing to Berkeley Pass of Bellingham (Dylan won by a big margin the previous week in their league meet).  Mystic Hammond of Ellensburg broke 15 at Hole in the Wall back in October. Sehome boys might be challenged by Bainbridge. They were only separated by nine points at The Mook back in September.


1:00 Girls 3A

Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island
Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island

Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island returns as the defending champion and won her 3A district meet in a time of 17:21.9 with Cassidy Armstrong of Ballard finishing second in 17:30.7.  Ciana Johnson of Ballard finished third in the same race. Lejla Carlsson of Gig Harbor won the Westside Classic last week. Mercer Island won the 3A race last year and Seattle Prep looks to challenge in 2025.


1:30 Girls 4A

Latham West of Bonney Lake
Latham West of Bonney Lake

Latham West of Bonney Lake is the top returner and looked impressive in her win at the Westside Classic. Aubrey Wilems of Eastlake beat West at Hole in the Wall, but was third at her district meet last weekend. Callie Orcutt of West Valley, Anna Hirsch of Wenatchee and Sydney Kosa of Olympia should be in the chase pack. Issaquah, Olympia, Redmond, and Camas should battle for the win, but watch out for the Bears from Tahoma.


2:30 Boys 3A

Mana Voss of Central Kitsap
Mana Voss of Central Kitsap

Mana Voss of Central Kitsap is the top returner and his competition will not want him close near the finish with his 1:51 800 meter speed. Leroy Lozano Mejia of Hermiston, Bodie Thomas of Mercer Island and Henry Herb of Seattle Prep are other contenders. Despite losing Owen Powell to graduation, Mercer Island could win the 3A title again. Seattle Prep, Bishop Blanchet, Gig Harbor, Shorewood and Central Kitsap, with their strong front runners can be in the hunt.


3:00 Boys 4A

Isaac Benjamin of South Kitsap
Isaac Benjamin of South Kitsap

Isaac Benjamin of South Kitsap and Cohen Butler of Camas look to have another memorable match up in the boy's 4A race. The team race is the most unpredictable of all the races on Saturday. Redmond, Camas, Tahoma, Mead, Gonzaga Prep and Kamiakin all can be champions on Saturday.
