Westlake High School is hosting their annual meet at Moorpark High School (due to unfinished construction on the track at Westlake). Athletes will open their outdoor season on Saturday.

800 Meters

Vin Kruegar of Oaks Christian

Delaney Napierala of Oaks Christian is the top seed in the girl's 800. Napierala ran her personal best of 2:15.65 at the Mt SAC Relays last April. Madison Boucher of Royal and Kiana Diamond of Granada Hills are the other top seeds. Vin Kruegar of Oaks Christian is the top seed in the boy's 800 with a time of 1:54.81 that he ran at CIF Finals last May (on the Moorpark High School track). Other top seeds are Leighton Wienert of Westlake and Alexander Saade of Heritage Christian.

1600 Meters

Anais Cruz of Westlake

The Westlake sister duo of Anais and Sabina Cruz are among the top entries in the girl's 1600 and Maggie De la Rionda of Thousand Oaks is another top seed. Ethan Barok of Taft is the top seed in the boy's 1600 and Foothill Technology runners Viggo Bortolin and Baker Carlisle are athletes to watch in the 1600.

3200 Meters

Jenna Murray of Moorpark

Jenna Murray of Moorpark High School is the top seed in the girl's 3200. Murray ran her personal best of 11:00.25 on her home track at CIF Finals last May. Angelica Espinoza and Acacia Rojas of Simi Valley are other top seeds. Hunter Bennett of Taft is the top seed in the boy's 3200 with Zackary Hatch of Moorpark and Kamran Khursheed of Agoura in the mix.

4 X 800

California State Meet added the 4 X 800 a few years ago and the Westlake/Moorpark Distance Carnival gives teams an early season opportunity to get a mark. Granada Hills girls and host Westlake boy's have the top seeds.
