Scary Dairy Invite- September 4, 2026
CSU Channel Islands Regional Park - Camarillo, CA
Del Sol High School in Oxnard, California hosts the Scary Dairy Run at the old dairy farm near the CSU Channel Islands campus on Saturday morning. The early season meet has a few athletes to watch.
In the girl’s varsity race Elise Tuttle of San Marcos, Amelia Sarkisian of Brentwood, Sofia Joh of Campbell Hall and Marek Monn of Viewpoint are some of the many athletes to watch. In the boy’s race Jack Richter of Viewpoint should be one of the leaders of the front pack with Sebastian de Vicente of Buena, Ian McMurtry of Dos Pueblos, Michael Kirkham of De La Salle and Watson Eagles of Campbell Hall challenging Richter.

Asics Cool Breeze Invitational - September 4, 2026
Galway Downs - Temecula, CA
The Asics Cool Breeze Invitational has a new location at the Galway Downs in Temecula since their past venue, the Fairplex in Pomona is being prepared for the LA Olympics. Here are the following athletes who will shine in the Sundown Showdown:
In the girl’s race Audrey Buckley of Long Beach Wilson opened the season at the PR City Invitational with a 17:31 time on the 3-mile course. Lindsey Billotte of Classical Academy ran a fast season opening time of 17:11 at the PR City Invitational. Tiana Chamorro of Cajon ran 17:33 on the PR City course. Emjae Fowler of Tesoro, Carolina Trejo Ibarra of Cajon, Natalie Santos of Temecula Valley and Avery Errecart of Long Beach Wilson all broke the 18 minute barrier at the PR City Invitational.
The powerful team from the San Diego Section, Sage Creek, will have athletes Isabel and Beatrice Gladden and Chloe Barrett. The Claremont duo of Camila Trevino Davila and Grace Smith will be in the mix. Taylor Ball of San Clemente, Marina Avila of Palm Desert and Kaydence Manjarrez of Hesperia are other top runners in the Sundown Showdown.
In the boy’s Sundown Showdown, Elijah Medina of Redlands East Valley could be the front runner. Medina finished second at the PR City Invitational last week and was a state qualifier in the 1600 last spring. Ayden Ramirez of Cajon, Gabriel Zamora of Hesperia, Grant Thamer and Logan Cool of Temecula Valley, and Pablo Samaniego of Cajon all had impressive opening season races at the PR City Invitational.
Other athletes who will be vying for top spots at the Sundown Showdown include Cole Johnson of South Torrance, Leonard Arias of Bonita and Grant Beasley and Eli Read of Sage Creek.
