The Podium in Spokane, WA hosts the Spokane High School Invitational this weekend. The meet includes some of the top distance runners in the Northwest.
3000 Meters
Sloan Dickson of Lynden enters the girl's invitational 3000 meters with impressive credentials. Dickson, a Gonzaga commit, won the 2A Washington State Meet 3200 last May and then won the 2A Washington Cross Country Championship in November. Dickson also raced at NXN last December. One of her challengers is Avery Meier of West Salem who has a 9:38.33 personal best in the 3000. Molly Schoolmeester of Banks had an outstanding freshman year finishing fourth in the 1A/2A/3A OSAA State Championship.

The boy's 3000 invitational includes the Wyatt Morgenstern from the strong Coeur d'Alene. Morgenstern who finished sixth in the 6A Idaho State Championship for the state champion Vikings. Jesuit boys from Portland have raced in the last two NXN Championships and have Liam Donnelly, Jackson Welsh, Brady Lukasiewicz and Braydon Fletcher in the race.
800 Meters
Oregon commit Annabelle Carr of Coeur d'Alene Charter has the top seed time of 2:10.54. Eleanor Wyatt of West Linn ran 2:12.36 as a high school freshman last spring. Sloan Dickson of Lynden runs her second race of the day and has a 2:12.94 personal best.

In the boy's invitational, Findlay Hartshorn of Bear Creek has a 1:52.85 personal best set at last spring's 1B/2B/1A Washington State Championship. Jackson Welsh of Jesuit has a personal best of 1:53.82 and Reid Bartholomew of Gallatin (MT) has a personal best of 1:54.04.
Mile

The invitational mile is on Sunday afternoon and Latham West of Bonney Lake enters the race with fastest seed time of 4:53.44. Avery Meier of West Salem has the next fastest time of 4:55..32 and followed by Eleanor Wyatt of West Salem in 4:55.68. Evangeline Johnson Hess of South Eugene finished third at the 6A OSAA Cross Country State Meet as a freshman.
Owen Thiel of Glacier (MT) has the fastest seed time in the boy's invitational of 4:11.32. Ronan Gantzos of Oregon Episcopal School has a seed time of 4:13.37 and Carson Buergey of Thurston has a personal best of 3:55.66 in the 1500.
