Here is a look at the west coast athletes competing in the championship races in the distance races at Nike Outdoor Nationals:
Thursday

In heat two of the girls championship 5000 meter race, several state meet champions race Thursday night. Sophia Rodriguez of Mercer Island, who won the 3A Washington 1600 & 3200 state championship in 2025 is entered in the 5000 meters. Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley has won four 5A 3000 meter Oregon state championships is entered and is so is Rylee Blade of Santiago (Corona) who won the 2023 California state 3200 meter championship. Nelida Delgas of North Salem, Holly Barker of Trabuco Hills and Elyse Henriksen of Lincoln (OR) will also contest the fast heat of the 5000.

In the third and fastest heat of the boy's 5000 meter race, familiar names from the west coast compete including Hayden Boaz of Summit (OR) who raced at NXN in December, Cooper Boyle of Tahoma (WA), Kellen Williams of Jesuit (OR), Dylan Feigener of Corvallis (OR), Liam Wilde of Wilsonville (OR) and Carter Bengston of Cottage Grove (OR).
Friday

In the fast championship heat of the 2000 meter championship, Victoria Rodriguez of Mercer Island hopes to defend her title from last year. Other west coast athletes include eighth grader from Yakima, Hadley Hanchett, Amrie Lacefield of Montgomery of Santa Rosa, Charlotte Hopkins of Arcadia (CA) and Summer Wilson of Irvine (CA) race the steeple on Friday.

In the fast heat of the boy's 2000 meter steeplechase include west coast athletes Henry Tait of Issaquah (WA), Ian Cook of Nathan Hale (WA), Luke Friedl of JSerra (CA), Kian Compton of Eisenhower (WA) and Aidan Wendring of Central (OR).
Saturday

In the sixth and final heat of the girl's 800 championship race, look for west coast athletes Ciana Johnson of Ballard who won Washington's 3A state 800 championship. Sophia Malinoski of Lincoln has won the last two Oregon 6A state 800 championships and Anna Elise Packard of JSerra finished fourth in the 800 at the California State Meet in May.

In the sixth and final heat of the championship 800, Bodey Lutes of Marshfield won the 4A Oregon 800 state meet title and Wyland Obando of Long Beach Wilson is the California 800 meter state meet champion.

Familiar names from Thursday's 5000 meter race are entered in the championship 3000 including Rylee Blade, Sophia Rodriguez, Emily Wisniewski and Holly Barker. Cassidy Armstrong of Ballard (WA) is a new name who qualified for Footlocker in December

Hayden Boaz returns to the 3000 after Thursday's 5000 meter race with west coast athletes Vincent Recupero of Bishop Blanchet (WA), Isaac Benjamin of South Kitsap (WA) and Malachi Schoenherr of Sheldon joining Hayden in the fast heat of the championship boy's 3000 fast heat.
Sunday

Braelyn Combe of Santiago (Corona) leads the west coast athletes of the fast heat of the mile. Combe won the California state meet in the 1600 in May. Jaelyn Williams of Eastlake (CA), Ellery Lincoln of Lincoln (OR) and Rylee Blade of Santiago (Corona) are also entered in the fast heat of the championship mile.

Evan Noonan of Dana Hills (CA) is one of the top west coast entrants in the fast heat of the boy's championship mile. Noonan will have other west coast athletes in his heat including Eli Fitchen-Young of Santa Cruz (CA), Kellen Williams of Jesuit (OR) and Landon Pretre of Menlo Schools (CA).
