Many of the top teams in the state of Oregon travel to Portland for the second annual invitational. In the girl's race, many of the traditional powers are signed up including Central Catholic, Franklin, Lakeridge, Lincoln, South Eugene, Summit, Sunset and Tigard. Some of the top individuals include Emily Wisniewski of Crescent Valley, Ella Thorsett of Summit, Keira Saavedra of Lincoln, Sabine Kim of Tigard and Barrett Justema of Summit.

The boy's team has almost all the of top teams in the state including Lincoln, West Salem, Central Catholic, Franklin, Sunset and Ida B Wells. Wes Shipsey of Central Catholic has been undefeated this fall and will be challenged by Logan Law of Milwaukie, Samy Anderson of Lincoln, Carter Cutting of Wilsonville and Josiah Tostenson of Crater.

Orange County Cross Country Championship - October 14-15

Silverado, CA - Oak Canyon Park


It is getting serious in California once the county championships show up in the calendar. Orange County schools hope to earn the title of Orange County champions and individuals vie to earn the "All-County" honor.


Makenzie McRae (1347) of Huntington Beach

The top Orange County girl's teams include JSerra, Dana Hills, Trabuco Hills, Huntington Beach and El Toro. Some of the top Orange Country athletes looking for "All-County" honors include Holly Barker of Laguna Hills, Sophie Polay of Santa Margarita, Makenzie McRae of Huntington Beach and Bryn Garcia of JSerra.


Carsten Williams (3340) Trabuco Hills

The top boy's teams in Orange County include San Clemente, Trabuco Hills, Santa Margarita, Dana Hills and Beckman. Some of the top Orange County athletes include Juan Chantaca of San Clemente, Jayden Hernandez of Godinez Fundamental, Brett Ephraim of San Clemente, Carsten Williams of Trabuco Hills and Eddie Yunker of Santa Margarita.


Tacoma Twilight Recap - October 13

Washington schools begins their quest to the Washington State Meet next week with conference and district championships. As teams gear up for championship season, Bellarmine Prep hosted a 2-mile race Thursday night called the Tacoma Twilight. Eliza White of Curtis edged Elektra Higgins to win the varsity race in 11:12.16 with Elektra running a close 11:12.66. Gig Harbor girls won the varsity race. Micah Galena of Gig Harbor won the boy's race in 9:32.53 and led Gig Harbor to a 1-2-3 finish and a team championship.
